Why is my Instagram not connecting?

If you are finding that your Instagram is not connecting to Curated Social there may be a few reasons.

1) The Instagram account is no longer authorized
To fix this, click the Facebook & Instagram button on the social profiles page, and this time select "Edit Settings". The next page should show your available Instagram pages. Make sure the one you want to connect with is selected. If it is not even shown in the list, that means that either the IG account is no longer an IG business account (and is instead a creator or personal account), or that it is not connected to a Facebook page you manage.
2) The Instagram account is not a business or creator account
Facebook only allows third parties to publish to Business accounts. Creator and Personal accounts do not count. Instagram calls both Business and Creator accounts "Professional" accounts which causes a lot of confusion. 3) 2-Factor authentication is enabled on Facebook, but not on Instagram.
This is a new one we've just started seeing popping up and don't have full details on yet. If you enabled 2-factor (also called multifactor or two-step) authentication, make sure to log in to Instagram and enable 2-factor there too.
4) You haven't set your age yet on Instagram (even on business or creator profiles)
Instagram will immediately notify you to set your age if you haven't done so yet, the next time you log in to Instagram. This can be missed when you only use third-party tools to interact with your IG page. Quickly log in to Instagram.com and see if you get a notification to set your age.
